Do you want to help in disasters?

Guilford County Employees are urged to participate in the Disaster Assistance Employee (DAE) program to help the community respond and recover from disasters.  Please review the information here!

All DAE members will be provided an initial 32 hours of training on how the Emergency Operations Center functions and the expectations of the DAE members.

 

Initial Training Courses will include:

  • IS-700: Introduction to the National Incident Management System
  • ICS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System
  • WebEOC Basic User Training
  • Guilford County Emergency Operations Center Concept of Operations

After the initial training, 8 hours of refresher training will be scheduled on a quarterly basis for all team members. 

Employees must attend at least 24 hours of training each year to remain active.

Quarterly training sessions will be scheduled well in advance to allow employees the flexibility to coordinate their schedules with their supervisors.
